This mask is used to portray spirits or malicious monsters. Shikami is composed of shi and kami (meaning "teeth" and "bite"). Each muscle seems to be squeezing towards the center of the mask to form a terrible and angry face with a frown. It belongs to the category of masks "Kishin" or "demons".
