Hannya's mask is a Noh theater mask that represents a female demon or a jealous snake. It has two sharp horns like bulls, metallic eyes and a mouth. Land divided from ear to ear. In general, it is said that Hanny's name comes from the name of an artist of Hannya-bo, who is said to have created it. This mask portrays the souls of women who have become demons due to obsession or jealousy. Its distinctive and frightening aspect makes it one of the most recognizable Noh masks. This mask is demonic and dangerous, but also sad and tormented, and shows the complexity of human emotions. Every aspect has every emotional expression; when the actor looks ahead, the mask looks frightening and angry; when it leans slightly down, the face seems very sad. There are several types of Hannya mask, such as Shiro-Hannya (literally "white mask of Hannya") or Aka-Hannya (literally "red mask of Hannya").
