More info

Yase onna is used to portray the suffering spirit of a woman with jealousy and resentment due to a love relationship. Yase onna shows a passivity represented particularly with the lack of gold or red in the eyes. The prominent bones form a tight triangle on sunken cheeks, sometimes angularly sculpted, sometimes with rounded edges. The eyes look carelessly from the hollow of their bones. Even so, a soft elegance permeates the mask, a soft tragic expression that validates the final salvation.
